New Direction

Introduction

I just made a decision to move my portfolio of work as a freelance writer to this blog.

I had written several articles for different concerns and genres of industry. So, I stored some of my articles on my cloud account, with the possibility that I could have access to them, even after making deadline submissions.

As things stand, I want to take up a writing position, as a copy writer or remote editor for companies seeking to employ such individuals. And, one of the requirements is that I have to make samples of my work available, so this action will make that step easier for me.

2019-one heck of a year

This year has been tough. I lost my position with a company in the U.S.A that refused to cash in on the trend of educational migration by African students. I resorted to writing short articles to scrounge for cash, and then my laptop screen got damaged.

To further compound issues, my Google Pixel smartphone which I purchased recently, fell to the ground and the screen went blank. So, I was left with my Tecno smartphone, which does the absolute minimum that a smartphone should do. I am a hardworking man, and I will make do with what I have to the best of my ability.

So you may ask, what genres do I want to blog about, what niche is my specialty?

Well, my answer is several of them.
I am considering writing for the following niches:

  • crypto-currencies
  • lifestyle blogging
  • product copy rewriting 
  • web-research and paraphrasing
  • editing
  • health and wellness
  •  self-help writing
  • football
And of course, laissez-fair writing just like this post.

About me

Really, I'm a multidimensional person and I pick knowledge easily from the environment, conversations and the internet, so while I might not specialize in a technical area, I am capable of writing technical articles. I'm just mentioning this to highlight my dexterity.

I actually wanted to teach English to students who want to migrate, and who would need IELTS as a certificate of English language proficiency. But, I have not made progress on this idea for two reasons:

  1. I have yet to sit for the IELTS test myself, and I need to save some money, so I can take the test.
  2. The phone which I thought would come in handy, due to the size of its internal storage, and the RAM, is faulty and cannot serve the purpose for which I got it.

So, here is a little story about how 2019 has been, and the new direction I intend to pursue, going forward into 2020. I hope to sustain this effort. So help me God!

I'm guessing you would realise from the blog title, that I am interested in emigrating to Canada. So, after reading this, send me a gig. I just might do a wonderful job, which would endear me to you, for all of eternity.
